Wrapping Up 2019 & Teasing 2020

It is getting hotter - much hotter - over here in Sydney, and I am finding myself needing to sleep more in order to do the same things. This can only mean one thing. It is the end of the year and we are all getting exhausted.
Having said that, we have also made it to our first year together! This is only possible through your prayers, readership and support. A very big thank you to all our readers for following us through our first year of this great yellow adventure that landed us in asianity, peeked into our spiritual lives with our phones, and touched the hot button topics.
We also would like to thank those who have guestposted for us and brought their experiences to bear on what Pope Francis called the “caravan of solidarity”.
Most importantly, however, I hope that amidst all the madness, I made you think on the more important things, like laughter, play and praise as we all stumble through the alleyways of the City of God.
We would be taking a short break over Christmas and New Year’s Day. However, we would also like to let you know that we have a special three-parter coming up in the new year starting 3 January, tackling the issue of cities and loneliness.
Without giving too much away, the theme was sparked by an intriguing online conversation between two friends, Kamila Soh (who has guestposted here before), and Tom Gourlay, who is an editor over at an exciting new philosophical project, Macrina Magazine.
After looking into that conversation, and looking at my posts, I found that I have hinted at the topic of faith and loneliness, and about faith needing space to operate in, but nothing that actually looked at the experiences where the two intersected.
I realised that, as we approach the Christmas holidays, this experience of loneliness will be particularly acute for those living in cities. In light of this, this conversation was particularly providential.
